A four day Orientation Program for the 1st Batch of Fellow
Program in Management (FPM) and 3rd Batch of Post Graduate
Programme in Management (PGP), started on June 28th at IIM
Raipur Campus. The major and unique idea behind the four day
program was, to groom our students at the level of mind, body
and spirit so that they attain and sustain the physical,
cognitive and emotional demands and challenges of their lives.
In doing so the orientation program also assisted students to
understand the culture of the Institute, make smooth transition
to management education, form valuable connections with seniors,
faculty and staff and instilled in them a positive work attitude
and motivation right at the very outset.

professional instructor guided the students to explore,
understand and align themselves with the core energy of self.
Chants of Vedic hymns filled the campus early every morning as
students practiced and listened tothe soothing chants everyday.
The instructor besides imparting knowledge of various ‘Aasanas’
also clarified doubts of the students. The sessions prepared the

The
Outbound activities, simulation games and Psychometric testing
also provided a very interesting and challenging session to the
students. The major objective of simulation games and outbound
sessions was an attempt to introduce the future managers to
skills like Team work, leadership, coordination, and delegation
of responsibility. Psychometric testing was an attempt to help
the students be more aware of their behavior, aspects of their
personality, their behavior so that they can make informed
career choice later on. The students were also given a detailed
counseling and psychometric profile analysis based on their
score on psychometric tools. Outbound activities typically had
outdoor games build on management ideas like Team work,
importance of planning, participation of members, team spirit
etc. These activities served as icebreaking exercises and were
very much appreciated by the students.
