Highlights of the Orientation Program

A four day Orientation Program for the 1st Batch of Fellow Program in Management (FPM) and 3rd Batch of Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), started on June 28th at IIM Raipur Campus. The major and unique idea behind the four day program was, to groom our students at the level of mind, body and spirit so that they attain and sustain the physical, cognitive and emotional demands and challenges of their lives.

In doing so the orientation program also assisted students to understand the culture of the Institute, make smooth transition to management education, form valuable connections with seniors, faculty and staff and instilled in them a positive work attitude and motivation right at the very outset.

The orientation program included Yoga, Psychometric testing, business simulation games and a workshop session on Emotional intelligence besides a series of guest lectures series from stalwarts coming from varied backgrounds, experience and professions.

Every day at the Orientation program began with Yoga where a professional instructor guided the students to explore, understand and align themselves with the core energy of self. Chants of Vedic hymns filled the campus early every morning as students practiced and listened tothe soothing chants everyday. The instructor besides imparting knowledge of various ‘Aasanas’ also clarified doubts of the students. The sessions prepared the students mentally and physically to soak in the learnings of sessions that followed.
