The evening session of the inaugural program of the Orientation
program for Orientation Program for the 1st Batch of Fellow
Program in Management (FPM) and 3rd Batch of Post Graduate
Programme in Management (PGP) at IIM Raipur started with an
address by ShriAman Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister and
Secretary Power, Government of Chhattisgarh.

He interacted with the students of IIM Raipur while presenting
an informative session on unique opportunities and natural
advantages of the state of Chhattisgarh. In his very informative
presentation he clearly delineated the role and the progress
made by the government and the role that should be played by the
educational institutes towards the growth and development of the
state. In his session, Mr. Singh also illustrated the various
opportunities present in the sector of power, mining, education,
real estate, food processing or tourism. He urged the students
to come forward with their groomed capacities and contribute to
further development of the state. Chhattisgarh, he believed has
come a long way after becoming an independent state and today
has become the state with highest growth rate. However, a lot
can be done if trained and educated minds come together and
contribute to it. He also expressed the Government’s commitment
to provide all kind of support to industry and entrepreneurs.
